Details: These lessons meet national education standards for educators teaching K-3. The lessons include a nutrition and a fitness component. The fitness portion combines activity with reflection on what and why the students performed the activity. As a result, the point of the activity along with actually doing the activity is reinforced either in written or spoken form. The nutrition portion focuses on creative ways to identify a healthy breakfast; students evaluate their own breakfast for completeness, and use their creativity (through writing poems or stories) to demonstrate what they have learned.
