Summary: Materials requiring PreK-12 students to use critical thinking to make healthful nutrition choices.

Details: This website includes informational articles for educators and parents covering basic nutrition concepts, commonly asked questions, and the food guide pyramid. In addition, fun activity sheets that do not just rely on student recall but also include real world "challenges" where the students are asked to identify what they would choose to eat in a situation are included. Activity sheets consist of a staying healthy skill, life skill, and success indicator to guide students through the process of how to understand healthy choices rather than memorize them. Many key catch phrases are the themes of the activities (i.e. "everything in moderation", "food guide pyramid guides food choices"). Other activities address body image and the mental aspects of eating. The curriculum is designed for PreK-12. Some sheets do emphasize beef and lean meat selection.
