Melissa Pflugh, MS, RD is the Program Manager for a school-based health program called Healthy Schools Healthy Families (HSHF) in New York, NY. HSHF identifies and addresses unmet health needs and promotes healthy lifestyles through health promotion and environment and policy change in seven beneficiary public schools. In addition, Melissa works as a pediatric wellness consultant, public speaker and guest lecturer for New York University and Teachers College at Columbia University. In the past, Melissa has also worked as a clinical pediatric dietitian and as an instructor for National Institute of Technology. She is currently a member of the House of Delegates of the American Dietetic Association and Chair of the Pediatric Special Interest Group of the Greater New York Dietetic Association. Melissa received her MS in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and her BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida.
